Saying Goodbye

A very dear friend of mine passed away at the end of July.  We had her memorial service in September.  It turned out beautifully.  Her sisters were able to be there as well as all of her Portland family (friends, co-workers).

I made a picture collage for her service.  I thought it would be really hard, but it was actually very positive.  Seeing my old pictures made me laugh and cry.  I was able to get a box of pictures that contained baby, childhood, and some adulthood pics of my dear friend.  Seeing those baby pictures made me realize that she always had that big smile.  Though she was a troubled soul, she had the kindest of hearts.  She always shared laughs and one of her signature bear hugs.  I'm going to miss her more than words can express.
