Long Overdue Updates

I just realized that it's been 3 weeks since I last updated this blog.  Whoops!

Christmas was fantastic.  The boys had an absolute blast and were spoiled by everyone.  We celebrated with my mom, older sister, and nieces the Sunday before Christmas.  On Christmas Eve, my dad, stepmom, little sister and brother-in-law came over to give gifts to the boys.  Of course, there was Christmas day and a ton of Legos.  Justin was working full-time for almost 2 days putting all of the sets together.  The pure joy and excitement of watching the boys on Christmas morning was priceless.  It made me feel like a kid again.
The day after Christmas, Justin's family came to celebrate.  We had even more fun eating spaghetti, laughing, and doing the family gift exchange.

Since Bennett was on school break for 2 weeks, he spent the first week at home and the 2nd week at his old daycare doing the winter break program.  The theme was Willy Wonka.  Friday of that week, they had a 20 minute performance of Willy Wonka.  It was so cute and the kids did a great job.  Bennett wasn't even shy!

My birthday was the following week.  39!!!  Jeannette, a friend at work, made the most delicious almond butter chocolate chip cookies.  Justin made me dinner and we had a delicious chocolate cake for dessert.  Maggie, Mollie, and Storm were with us that week, which made it even more enjoyable.  The boys started swim lessons again, but this time at a different pool.  It's actually a bit closer and the facilities are really nice.  They are both enjoying their classes.

While the holidays were very enjoyable, we are all glad to be back to "normal".  Bennett is getting back into the school schedule, our work schedules are normal again, and we have free time on the weekends.  It's nice to relax.

And now for pictures:

And one for Nolan.  He said "This is so awesome!"

Nolan, staying classy.  He wore his shirt like that
most of the day.
